Polysorbate 21,also known as polyoxyethylene(4)monolaurate consiss of sorbitol,ethylene oxide and lauric acid.It has a molecular formula of C26H50O10.At room temperature,it is in the form of a pale-yellow to a yellow viscous liquid.It is an O/W emulsifier with an HLB of 13.3.It is soluble in methanol,ethanol,glycol,ethyl acetate.
